I am an independent Health Visitor providing reassuring support for new parents.

I have worked principally as a Health Visitor and subsequently in related fields, consolidating my specialist interest in bonding processes, baby and toddler behaviour and family dynamics.


Helping you understand your baby
Through a series of conversations and observations, I try to join parents in understanding their baby or toddler in his/her early development, with a view to best-possible launching for life.

The approach I have adopted over many years’ practice with parents and, sometimes, whole households, is aimed at building good relationships and reducing stress. Together with parents, I explore how you might work towards obtaining the best compromises necessary when there is conflict between adult and child needs.

I have broad experience in working with the parents of children with physical and special educational needs against a background of upheaval such as family crises, depression and being a long way from extended family and friends.

Consultations of one hour
- 1st hour: £35
- Subsequent hours: £30

Telephone follow ups: £10

Infant Massage/post natal groups: £35 for 5 sessions per parent and baby in groups of 3 to 6

Home visits will include:

Whatever issues you may have, I should be pleased to meet with you to provide the following services:

- Talking through the problem in a non-prescriptive way to clear your mind and open up the road ahead;
- Learning to understand where your baby/toddler is coming from through observation;
- If required, learning how to massage your baby, observe and talk at the same time.


Baby massage
My Infant Massage courses are aimed at getting to know your baby and relieving the first early tensions of the incredible experience of babyhood in a supportive, relaxing atmosphere. They are totally baby-led with the emphasis on fun and savouring the present moment. Fathers are always welcome to attend.

Infant massage courses run as a set of 5 weekly sessions; these can be individual or for groups of up to 6 babies with parent and I do gift vouchers which can be a helpful present for friends, grandparents or work colleagues to give a new mother.
